Agasti Cultural Academy (ACA)
Established in 1995, the Agasti Cultural Academy (ACA) is located at Thoubal Wangmataba, near Thoubal College, Thoubal to promote the rich cultural heritage of Manipur in particular and India in general.
The functions of the Academy, among other things, are to impart training courses in the field of Pung (Mridanga), folk dances, and some other selected dance forms especially in traditional styles. In addition, the Academy also organises R&D Seminars and workshops on various topics of cultural values and ethics such as Lai Haraoba, Tribal Folk and traditional musical instruments with a close comparison to the modern musical instruments. As a follow up programmes for the artistes, arrangements are made for them to get scholarships through State and Central government
